- I hadn't known of this opportunity before today or I would have sent our heartfelt appreciation via this page. We were the family involved in the 2010 Mothers Day accident along Rt 501 just north of Myerstown that involved six of our family in the Durango which was hit head on by a Honda in which the driver hadn't survived. Local Hero Passes Away

- The Myerstown First Aid Unit is saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Former Fire Chief Mitch J. Hemperly. Mitch had an amazing role with the Goodwill Fire Company over the past 30 years being a driver, assistant fire chief, chief, and Driver/Pump instructor. Save the ELCO EMT Program
JANUARY 17
- On January 23rd 2012 the ELCO School board will convene to decide the future of the ELCO EMT program. The EMT program was the first high school based EMT course in the nation and was started and lead by our own Board President/Asst. Chief Dave Kirchner for over 30 years.
