Many thanks to Dave and Crystal and the young lady EMT who warmed me during hypothermia at Willow Springs today.
Though I think I would have recovered from hypothermia after the polar bear swim today as in past years, I was touched and grateful for the professional and friendly care you offered me today.
It is nice to know that no matter how bad my judgment, good people like you are out there to help and preserve us.
I reached home after an enjoyable motorcycle ride with many good memories, of the swim and the fine people at Myerstown First Aid.

Greetings to GREAT former colleagues Jim Rittle and Bud Kintzer specifically. How the unit changed from just being mere "30A" and moved out of the Goodwill hall. When my railroad career took me to Nebraska in 1976, I left my hometown and the first aid unit which at that time only had the Cadillac and the first Horton modulance with Dodge chasis. How the unit has changed! Three modulances now with paramedics. Sorry to see that only volunteers do the night runs. I reflect often on those days back then when it was volunteer 24/7. I remember Kay Fungallis, our first female attendant. I would love to have a tour after all these years. It would be great to see Jim Rittle since I haven't seen him since 1976, as well as Bud Kintzer up until recently in Ye Old Bake Oven at lunch. Myerstown had the finest ambulance units in the county back then, and it appears it still does. Bud, Jim and I were certified instructors for the heart assoc, and the Red Cross back then. I had represented all Leb. Cnty. units with the county CD Director Walter (can't remember his last name) and sherrif to Kansas City, MO in 1973 for the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation sponsored seminar on EMS. The EMT program was in its fledgeling years then. Great experiences I cherrish with the unit.
Randy, I would love to get some pics of the Cadillac! A lot of the members would enjoy seeing it in action after it retired from MFAU. Would you be able send the pics to my email? Kbrock@mfau.net If not shoot me an email and I'll email you a mailing address.
Sue we are always glad to help. I'll pass your email along to the crews.
Your website is very good and easy to navigate. As an FYI the 1971 Cadillac S&S in your retired Units picture is now a member of our fleet here in Canada at Thames EMS. I would be happy to send a picture of it as we are quite proud of it.
